Mumbai/Nagpur, Jul 4 (IBNS): Nearly 40 people, including policemen and members of the press, were injured when protesters from Yavatmal in Mahrashtra, demonstrating against alleged molestation of girl students, turned violent and police had to resort to lathi-charge to control the crowd on Monday, according to media reports.

Later on Monday, police arrested Kishor Darda, Chairman of YPS School Committee, which runs Yavatmal Public School, media reported.

Two teachers and the principal of the school were arrested last week.
