102 Not Out recovers from slow start, collects over Rs 16 crore

Mumbai, May 7 (IBNS): Bollywood heavyweights Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor's 102 Not Out braved a slow start to rake over Rs 16 crore on its opening weekend.

The movie witnessed significant jump on Saturday and even bettered its record on Sunday.

"And #102NotOut goes from strength to strength... Witnesses SUPERB GROWTH on Sun... The upward trend and positive talk should help the film trend well on weekdays... Fri 3.52 cr, Sat 5.53 cr, Sun 7.60 cr. Total: ₹ 16.65 cr. India biz," business analyst and Bollywood movie reviewer Taran Adarsh tweeted.

102 Not Out is directed by Umesh Shukla, while AR Rahman has scored the music for the film.
