Running for about 2:18 minutes, the trailer shows three women venture out into the woods, deepening their friendship but their bonding never goes without any disagreements.

As the trailer progresses, the women- starred by Paayel Sarkar, Alivia Sarkar, Rupsha Mukhopadhyay- discover each other's hidden emotions as their journey leads to an apparent peace.

Paayel, who has worked in a number of films over the years, says, "We don't refer to any film as male-centric but we call it female-centric when there are female protagonists. But I am very hopeful for a time when we do not have to highlight it. It’s important to craft significant women characters to make Bengali films relevant in the present time."

"Women’s lives are no longer restricted to just family but their struggles and emotions go beyond. I am very thankful to Suman-da (Suman Maitra) for making a film on present generation women," she adds.

The film, which features veteran actress Tanima Sen playing a pivotal role, is inspired by Sunil Gangopadhyay's novel Aranyer Din Ratri.

Speaking about his film, Maitra says, "The film is a story of friendship, travel and love. It has emotions and drama but no preach. Abar Awronne encompasses road trips and travelogues."

Abar Awronne Din Ratri, produced by Indo Americana Production, is slated to release on April 5.
