Actor Karthi casts votes in Chennai, says 'everyone should come and vote'

Chennai/IBNS: Actor Karthi has urged people to visit the polling stations and cast votes as Tamil Nadu headed for the Lok Sabha elections in the first phase on Friday.

After casting his vote, Karthi said, "Everyone should come and vote and not think that today is a holiday."

"People should know their candidates and come and vote," he added.

South Indian superstar Rajinikanth, actors Kamal Haasan, Dhanush, Vijay Sethupathi were among the early voters in Chennai in the Lok Sabha elections 2024.

After casting his vote, Rajinikanth flashed his inked finger with a smile.

Kamal Haasan cast his vote at a polling booth in Koyambedu, Chennai.

Dhanush arrived at a polling booth in Alwarpet in the morning.

Apart from the three, actors Vijay Sethupathi, Ajith Kumar, Sivakarthikeyan were amongst the early voters in Tamil Nadu.

All 39 Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu went to polls in the first phase of elections on Friday.
