Ajay Devgn-R Madhavan's Shaitaan mints Rs. 15.21 crores on opening day
Supernatural thriller Shaitaan minted Rs. 15.21 crores on Friday, marking a strong start to a film which is featuring R Madhavan and Ajay Devgn in the lead roles.
Sharing the Box Office collection figures, film critic Taran Adarsh posted on X: "#Shaitaan takes an EXCELLENT START on Day 1, surpasses *all* estimates and predictions by a wide margin… The film has opened in the same range as #Drishyam2 [₹ 15.38 cr], which had the franchise factor going in its favour… Fri ₹ 15.21 cr. #India biz. #Boxoffice."

R Madhavan is playing the role of an antagonist in the movie, breaking away from the chocolate hero roles he has played several times in his career.
The film is directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and Panorama Studios.
Ajay Devgn once again played the role of a fighting father who fought for the safety of his family from a negative force.

It is a remake of the 2023 Gujarati horror film Vash.
