Akshay Kumar leaves for UK to resume work after mother's death

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on Friday left for the UK to resume work two days after his mother Aruna Bhatia passed away.

He was spotted outside the Mumbai international airport with his wife Twinkle Khanna, son Aarav and daughter Nitara on Friday afternoon.

After his mother was admitted to hospital, Akshay, who was shooting for 'Cindrella', flew back from London to Mumbai Monday.

His mother passed away on Wednesday morning.

Akshay himself informed about the sad news to his fans and followers on Twitter.

On Thursday, the actor turned 54 just a day after he lost his mother.

In an emotional tweet, the actor shared a picture with his mother on Twitterand wrote, "Would have never liked it this way but am sure mom is singing Happy Birthday to me from right up there! Thanks to each one of you for your condolences and wishes alike. Life goes on."
