Akshay Kumar tests positive for Covid-19, tweets he will be 'back in action soon'

Mumbai/IBNS: Actor Akshay Kumar on Sunday informed that he has tested positive for coronavirus and is currently under home quarantine.

Taking to social media, the actor said that he has sought necessary medical care and immediately isolated himself after testing positive for Covid-19.

The 'Khiladi' actor also urged everyone who came in contact with him to get tested.

In his post, he wrote: "I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care."

"I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon," he added.

Akshay Kumar has a line-up of films ahead including the highly-awaited Sooryavanshi and Ram-Setu among others.
