Akshay Kumar unveils Gold promo

Mumbai, June 15 (IBNS): Superstar Akshay Kumar on Friday shared the promo of his upcoming movie Gold.

"Thank you everyone for all the love and support pouring in for the special unit of #Gold...sharing it here, on popular demand :) It's time to #StandUpForGold," Kumar tweeted.

The film is centred on India's first Olympic Gold Medal win as a free nation in 1948.

The sports drama film is directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Faran Akhtar.

The film also stars Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Mouni Roy.

Gold will hit the big screens on Independence Day on Aug 15.
