Alia Bhatt reveals where she met her husband Ranbir Kapoor for the first time. Know it

Mumbai/IBNS: In an interaction with filmmaker Karan Johar on his chat show 'Koffee With Karan', actress Alia Bhatt had years ago revealed she wanted to marry actor Ranbir Kapoor.

Years later after a considerable turn of events in their individual lives, Alia tied her nuptial knot with Ranbir at a private ceremony in tinseltown.

Promoting her first Hollywood project 'Heart of Stone', Alia has now revealed when she met Ranbir for the first time.

Speaking to Netflix, Alia shared that she met her husband for the first time on the sets of Amitabh Bachchan, Rani Mukerji starrer Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2005 film 'Black'.

"I was auditioning for a young Rani Mukerji. I didn't get it obviously because I am not in the film. But fun fact it was the first time I also met my now husband (Ranbir Kapoor)," Alia says.

Though she didn't succeed in the audition for 'Black', Alia's dream to work with Bhansali materialised through 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', the 2022 successful Hindi film where the actress played a brothel owner.

After the success of 'RRR', 'Brahmastra', Alia maintained her terrific run over the last decade with Karan Johar's comeback film 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', which released last month and went on to score decent numbers in the box office.

She is co-starring Gal Godot in her debut Hollywood film 'Heart of Stone', which premiered on Netflix on August 11.
