Ayushmann Khurrana will star in film-maker Sriram Raghavan’s yet-untitled next

Mumbai, Mar 04 (IBNS) It is official. Ayushmann Khurrana will star in film-maker Sriram Raghavan’s yet-untitled next. Like most of Raghavan’s previous films, this one, too, will be an unconventional one with his trademark thrill elements, a release said.

"Sriram is absolutely tight-lipped about his film but it’s going to be an edgy thriller from him, albeit, in a completely new world. Even actors have been asked not to talk about the film as yet,” says an insider.

Apparently, Ayushmann and Sriram have been in talks “for quite some time now” about the project. “Ayushmann absolutely loved the film’s idea and also, he has always been a fan of Sriram. In fact, his name was in Ayushmann’s list of directors that he always wanted to work with,” says the insider.

In all likelihood, the film will go on floors later this year. “Ayushmann has already wrapped three films - while Meri Pyaari Bindu is ready for release, Bareilly Ki Barfi is in the dubbing stages and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has been wrapped up. So, he is happy that he can fully concentrate on Sriram’s film now,” says the insider.

While Sriram couldn’t be reached for a comment despite repeated requests, Ayushmann confirmed the news, saying, “I’m too excited to do a Sriram Raghavan film. This was in my bucket list.”
