Filmmaker Karan Johar posted on his Twitter page: "Happy birthday my darling @aliaa08....love you lots and you make me so proud!!!!"
Actor Abhishek Bachchan wished her and tweeted: "Happy birthday @aliaa08 have an even better year than you did last year. Big love."
Actor Riteish Deshmukh said: "Ever so sparkling @aliaa08 -have a wonderful birthday- big hug."

Alia also used Twitter to thank his fans and friends for wishing her on her birthday as she tweeted: "Thank you alll for soooooooooo much love !!!!! Feel so blessed and grateful for ur love !!!! I love you guys to the stars and back ;) Muah."
Born to Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan, Alia made her first appearance in the film 'Sangharsh' (1999) starring Akshay Kumar and Priety Zinta as a child artist.
Just out of school, she made her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar's 'Student of the Year' along with two more newcomers Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan.
The gorgeous beauty also impressed her fans with her performance in lighthearted romantic films like '2 States' and then 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania'.
However, Alia put up one of her best performances in filmmaker Imtiaz Ali's road drama 'Highway' which had hit the silver screen in 2014.
