Bollywood biggies to inaugurate 25th KIFF today

Kolkata/IBNS: Bollywood stars will be in the city on Friday to inaugurate the 25th edition of Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF).

The festival will be inaugurated by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, actors Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan (who is also the brand ambassador of the state), Rakhee Gulzar, Mahesh Bhatt.

According to some reports, KIFF chairman Raj Chakraborty has also invited former Indian cricket captain and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president, Sourav Ganguly, for the first time to the event.

The Bachchan couple and Khan remain in the guests' list every year during the KIFF inauguration.

Apart from the Bollywood stars, a host of Bengali film stars will be in attendance at the inauguration.

The festival will run from Nov 8 to Nov 15.
