Bollywood celebs, politicians mourn Rita Bhaduri's demise
Mumbai, July 17 (IBNS): Indian celebrities and politicians on Tuesday mourned the death of actress Rita Bhaduri.
Actor Anil Kapoor, who worked with Rita in several movies, tweeted: "#RitaBhaduri was one of the finest actresses that #FTII gave us. I had the honour of working with her in Ghar Ho to Aisa, Beta & Viraasat & I'm really saddened to hear about her passing...She will be dearly missed by her friends, family & fans."

Actor Anupam Kher said: "#RitaBhaduri was affectionate, helpful, jovial, bright and full of life. It is sad and unfortunate that we sum up a person only when he or she is gone. I wish we met more often. We have lost a very fine actress and a brand ambassador/alumni of @FTIIOfficial. Om Shanti.."

Union Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore said: "Saddened by the demise of the veteran actress and @FTII_India alumna #RitaBhaduri. She graced Indian cinema and TV with 5 decades of rich acting. Her passing away is a loss to the industry. My condolences to her family and friends."

Rita Bhaduri was 62.
Actor Shishir Sharma informed fans about the demise of the actress on Facebook.
"We deeply regret to inform you that Reeta Bhaduri has departed for her journey beyond. The funeral rites will be held on 17th July, Tuesday 12 noon at the Cremation Ground, Parsi Wada Road, Parshiwada, Chakala, Andheri East.Extremely sad.. lost a wonderful human being .. a mother to many of us.. will miss u Ma," the actor wrote of Facebook.
She was reportedly suffering from a kidney ailment and was admitted to hospital for past 10 days.
Bhaduri initially appeared as supporting actress in various Bollywood films during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
She is most known for films like Sawan Ko Aane Doa, a 1979 Rajshri Productions film, and Raja (1995), for which she received a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
Rita Bhaduri had played the role of bandit queen Phoolan Devi in the eponymous1985 film along with actors like Joy Mukherjee and Suresh Oberoi.
She has appeared in numerous TV serials in her career.
