Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau meets Aamri Khan, shares candid image

Mumbai, Feb 21 (IBNS): After Shah Rukh Khan, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday posted an image of himself with Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan on social media.

Trudeau said his delegation was happy to meet him.

"@aamir_khan - our delegation was very happy to meet you! Thanks for joining us to celebrate a brighter future for the film industry in both our countries," he tweeted.

Trudeau met several Bollywood celebrities on Tuesday night in Mumbai.

The list of Bollywood personalities included Shah Rukh Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Aamir Khan, R Madhavan and Anupam Kher.

Earlier, Trudeau also shared an image where he could be seen interacting with SRK.

" Tonight, we celebrated stronger ties & new co-production opportunities between Bollywood and the Canadian Film Industry. And who better to help than @iamsrk himself... Great to meet you!  ," he tweeted.

Trudeau is currently in Punjab. He met state Chief Minister Amrinder Singh.

Trudeau, who is on a week-long visit to the country, will stay in India till Feb 23.

He has already visited several Indian states which include Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Trudeau on Monday visited Sabarmati Ashmram in Ahmedabad and Akshardahm temple in Gandhinagar shortly after his arrival in Gujarat.

He visited the Taj Mahal with his family on Sunday.

He shared images of his visit to the Mughal creation on his social media site.

Accompanied by his family, the 46-year-old prime minister arrived in New Delhi on Saturday evening.

The Canadian Prime Minister will hold a bilateral meeting with PM Narendra Modi on Feb 23.

Both the leaders will talk and focus on key issues like trade, defence, civil nuclear cooperation, space, tackling climate change energy and education. Trudeau's visit is expected to deepen ties between India and Canada.
