Celine Dion's husband's funeral announced

California, Jan 16 (IBNS) Singer Celine Dion on Saturday said her husband Rene Angelil will be laid to rest on Friday.

René Angélil died on Thursday after fighting against cancer.

René died at 73.

"Surrounded by the love of his family and friends, René Angélil passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016, on the eve of his 74th birthday," Dion wrote on her Facebook page.

"Thursday, January 21, 2016 A Chapel of Rest will be open to the public to pay a last tribute to René Angélil, on Thursday, January 21 from 2pm to 9pm," the singer said.

"Friday, January 22, 2016 A religious service will be celebrated on Friday, January 22 at 3pm," she said.
