Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, whose latest released Jawan is once again shattering Box Office records, on Sunday congratulated Indian PM Narendra Modi for the success of the G20 presidency.

In his heartwarming note addressed to the PM, Khan said: "Congratulations to Hon. PM @narendramodi ji for the success of India’s G20 Presidency and for fostering unity between nations for a better future for the people of the world."

He said hosting the G20 presidency has ignited an honour and pride in the hearts of countrymen.

"It has brought in a sense of honour and pride into the hearts of every Indian. Sir, under your leadership, we will prosper not in isolation but in Oneness. One Earth, One Family, One Future," Khan said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday ended the G20 summit with ‘Swasti Astu Vishwa’ -- a prayer which means "let there be peace in the world" as he handed over the gavel to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, marking the ceremonial transfer of the G20 presidency.

The next G20 chair Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva commended India for lending voice to concerns of emerging economies.

The two-day event in New Delhi, which witnessed the participation of several top world leaders, was held on September 9-10.
