Mumbai/IBNS: Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, who is fighting COVID-19 at Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital, on Monday said he couldn't 'hold back his tears' after his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and his granddaughter Aaradhya got discharged from hospital.

In a tweet in Hindi, Big B wrote: "After my daughter-in-law and granddaughter were discharged from the hospital, I couldn't hold back my tears. Lord, your blessings are infinite."

The actress and her daughter got discharged on Monday after they tested negative for COVID-19.

Ash's hubby Abhishek Bachchan confirmed the development and tweeted, "Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes. Indebted forever.

"Aishwarya and Aaradhya have thankfully tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital. They will now be at home. My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff," his tweet read.

Abhishek, however, said he and his father Amitabh Bachchan still remain in hospital.

Both have been hospitalised since July 11. Ash and her daughter were later admitted to hospital.
