COVID-19: Sonu Sood opens his Juhu hotel for health workers

Mumbai/IBNS: At a time several Bollywood celebrities came out with their contributions to various funds, actor Sonu Sood has opened his hotel in Juhu here for health workers who are fighting against the deadly COVID-19.

Issuing a statement on Twitter, Sonu Sood said, "In the tough times that we have been living & to support the national heroes who have been working tirelessly day & night, I open my hotel in Juhu for all the health workers.

Considering the mammoth duty these heroes are doing right now, this is the least we can do for them. We are all in this together, lets all come forward & support them."

Several Bollywood celebrities, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh have contributed to PM Cares Fund, a fund which has been created by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for contributions to combat the deadly Novel Coronavirus.

Close to 6,000 people have been infected with COVID-19 so far in the country.
