Mumbai, Mar 20 (IBNS): Actors Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey have joined the "reading session' for director Meghna Gulzar's next film Chhapaak.

Massey, who will feature in the film alongside Padukone, shared a couple of images on social media saying, "✨ As actors, we live for this moment. Feeling blessed with the team during our #Chhapaak reading session ✨"

In the film, Padukone will essay the character of acid-attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

This is the first project where Padukone and Gulzar are working together. Gulzar's 2018 film Raazi, which starred actress Alia Bhatt, was a big hit.

Padukone, now a senior Bollywood actress after being in the movie business for over 11 years, is also co-producing Chhapaak.
