Deepika receives best birthday gift from Arab fans, gets water well built in villages

Mumbai, Jan 9 (IBNS): Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone, who turned 32 on last Friday, may have millions of followers across the globe but the actor got the best birthday gift from her Arab fans.

Deepika's Arab fan club donated money to build a water well in a needy village on the occasion of the actor's birthday.

Deepika's Aran FC tweeted some of the pictures adding to them a caption that reads: " This is our gift for @deepikapadukone birthday We Arab fan donated to build a water well in one of the needy villages We Hope you liked it #HappyBirthdayDeepikaPadukone."

The actor, who has already appeared in Hollywood, re-tweeted the pictures thanking her fan club. She even went on to say the initiative for poor people has been her best birthday gift.

She said in a re-tweet: "it fills my heart to see your generosity & contribution in making this world a better & happier place.This is the best birthday gift I could’ve asked for.I love you & I’m so proud of you all."

Deepika is presently waiting for the release for her Bollywood film 'Padmavat' (earlier Padmavati) which is marred in controversy over director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's alleged misrepresentation of history.

The film is expected to release on Jan 25.

The 32-year old actor, who took part in huge number of Bollywood films, made her international debut with 'xXx: Return of Xander Cage' opposite Vin Diesel in 2017.
