New Delhi, May 21 (UNI): To many people in Bollywood, he could be better known as 'Junior Oberoi' and perhaps also got some benefits in the name of the legacy left by his illustrious father Suresh Oberoi, but Vivek Oberoi says he agrees with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's diatribe against 'dynastic politics'.

"Mein unse sahmat hoon (I do agree with him exactly)," chuckled Oberoi while fielding questions that how did he see Prime Minister Narendra Modi's attack on 'dynastic politics' when promoting offsprings of noted Bollywood stars have always reaped the benefits of family names.

"Some of you may not know, after my acting training when I returned to Mumbai, my father (Suresh Oberoi) wanted to launch me. I was against this idea," he told UNI here.

"I told my father you yourself have made big in acting on your own merits and sheer hard work. So what is the point in giving me a push.....and you will not believe I went around meeting people in the name of Vivek Anand and met Assistant directors and producers for work," he said.

"My father also said I worked hard and established myself so that you do not have to struggle, but I wanted to get initial recognition as an actor by own merits," said Oberoi, who plays the role of Narendra Modi in the controversial biopic on the Prime Minister.

He said to conceal himself, he initially identified himself as 'Vivek Anand' and it was only in the later stage that he decided to be called Vivek Oberoi.
