Juhi Chawla, Shabana Azmi attend 'Chalk n Duster' mahurat
Mumbai, Apr 13 (IBNS): Actresses Juhi Chawla and Shabana Azmi along with popular actresses Zarina Wahab, Divya Dutta joined hands to support Bollywood's most celebrated and renowned makeup artist Subhash Singh's maiden production Chalk n Duster.
The mahurat of the movie was an extravagant affair. The ensemble cast also included actors Ritu Shivpuri who looked a million dollars in her embroidered sari, while Samir Soni looked suave in his white shirt-jeans avatar. Gavie Chahal was seen having a good time with the reporters.
Upasna Singh was chirpy as ever at the event.
Also present at the occasion were directors Rajkumar Santoshi, Prakash Jha and beauty pageant winner Navneet Kaur Dhillon. Navneet kicked started the the shoot with the clapper.
Producers Subhash Singh, Sonali Singh and Amin Surani bonded well with all their actors and a vibrant director Jayant Gilatar cracked everyone up with his wise cracks and funny outbursts. Executive Producer Preet Kaur too, was present at the high profile event.
Chalk n Duster is a coming of age movie that deals with the life of teachers. The hardships they have to face, keeping up with the ever-changing education system and societal norms. It`s a long journey, that will not only render the audience speechless, but also entice them to finding superlatives for the wonderful phenomenon that we call teaching.
The movie also stars Jackie Shroff, Anupam Kher, Arya Babbar and Saheeba Khurana.
Chalk n Duster is written by Ranjeev Varma and Neetu. It is directed by Jayant Gilatar. The music is composed by Sandesh Shandilya, while the lyrics for the film are penned by seasoned writer Javed Akhtar. Produced by Subhash Singh along with his sister Sonali Singh under the banner 3S Creations Chalk n Duster is set to release on Teacher`s Day.
