'Kaash' to premiere at the prestigious Tokyo film festival

Mumbai, Oct 21 (IBNS) Ace photographer turned director Ishaan Nair's directorial debut film 'Kaash'’ has been officially selected for the 28th annual Tokyo international film festival with its world premiere slated for 24th of Oct at the festival.

The film will be competing in the Asian future categories for future film award for debut director and spirit award.

Talking about his first film being selected at TIFF  Ishaan said, "After a five year journey with Kaash, being selected at Tokyo international film festival is validation that the quality of  the film is intact and I am very happy about that"

The film will see a one of its kind collaboration between Mira Nair, Irrfan Khan, Sailesh Singh.

Talking about her association with Kaash, Mira Nair said, "Ishaan Nair has a sure voice and a deeply sensual eye, I knew he would make a superbly confident first feature film. What an honour for Kaash to be invited in competition in a major film festtival like Tokyo."
