Kolkata: Bengali TV serial actor found dead
His family said he went to swim in the pond after returning from shooting.
Starting his career as an anchor with Sangeet Bangla, Chakraborty has worked in serials like 'Jol Nupur'.
Mourning his death, anchor Mir posted on his Facebook page: "Another earthquake.. But of a different kind.. Not possible to track on a Richter scale. Shaken and Shocked beyond compare. I generally refrain from commenting/posting/writing about the deceased but the fact that Ronnie who's current status by the laws of nature reads 'No More' actually had 'More... Much much More' left to be done with his Life. Sharing a post from his wall and recollecting those times when we would bump into each other at some place or the other and his whining tone: "Dada... Tomaay aami friend request pathate parchhi naa.. Facebook bolchhe - 'Do you know this person? - Ridiculous, dada! Tomaay aami chinbo naa..." And we would have a royal laugh and I would promise to send him a friend request ASAP. Shei friend request'ta aamaar Aar pathano holo naa... We were close anyways."
"Remembering those long evenings inside the Sangeet Bangla make up room where he would at times bug me to death on sharing 'Tips on anchoring' and I would constantly chide him saying he was a natural talent. He would just have to get there himself and that I was absolutely no one qualified enough to guide him better than his own self. Fare well my brother... Gone too soon," he said.
