Mumbai ,Dec 16 (IBNS): Muvizz.com, video on demand (VOD) platform has collaborated as the festival partners for an upcoming feature film, ‘Alif’.

‘Dozakh In Search Of Heaven’ famed director Zaigham Imam is coming up with his new work ‘ALIF’ which is slated to release early next year.

After producing short-films like Taandav and Kriti, Muvizz.com is supporting this film which strongly raises important questions about the Muslim education system and indo-pak relations, promoting the tagline of the film "ladna nahi padhna zaroori hai”.

Starring veteran actress Neelima Azeem and narrated by Smt. Jaya Bachchan the film recently screened at film club of Aligarh Muslim University, Glocal University, Saharanpur, Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar etc received an exhilarating response.

The film has already bagged best screenplay and best child actor awards at 3rd Bioscope global film festival 2016.

The film screened as world premiere at Indian international film festival of Queensland Australia. To add to the film’s accolades it won award at Khajuraho International Film Festival held yesterday.

Piiyush Singh, COO & Co-Founder of Muvizz.com said, “Alif is a unique film and the plot of the movie has a lot of significance to our society. ALIF is unlike mainstream films, yet it is a complete package of entertainment with a social cause. We’ve always backed films that are content driven, ‘ALIF’ represents the kind of cinema we stand for. We are very hopeful the film will receive huge appreciation once it hits the screen.”

The director of the film, Zaigham Imam, a former journalist wrote two novels DOZAKH and MAIN MUHABBAT.

In 2014, he made his first feature film called "Dozakh In Search Of Heaven” (based on his own novel) which received global recognition. Regarding ‘ALIF’ the director quoted, “Many tales are caught in our mind until we do not say them, ‘ALIF’ is a similar story. Living in a society with humanitarian tragedies, hatred, religious hypocrisy, and political propaganda, will we ever be able to understand that to improve this world and make it beautiful it is essential to bring harmony between us. As a producer, writer and director choosing ALIF was not too difficult for me because this film brings the positive form of life and expresses its struggle which is the basic human quality. In today's date, ALIF brings morale to humanity and the entire race which is a matter of utmost relief for me.”

Muvizz.com has been backing innovative content films right from its inception.

The platform recently gave backing to various projects such as the documentary on Late. Mr. Jagjit Singh, the remake of Albert Pinto ko Gussa Kyu Aata Hai, Taandav and Kriti.

The platform aims to assist filmmakers at every level to gain global exposure while encouraging diversity, creativity, and innovation in the process.
