Naam Shabana earns Rs. 5.12 crores on opening day

Mumbai, Apr 1 (IBNS): Superstar Akshay Kumar's latest released movie 'Naam Shabana' has earned Rs. 5.12 crores at the Box Office on the opening day.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#NaamShabana gets a boost due to Akshay's star power... Evening shows fare better... Fri ₹ 5.12 cr. India biz."

Naam Shabana is an Indian action spy-thriller film directed by Shivam Nair and produced by Neeraj Pandey and Shital Bhatia under the Friday Filmworks banner.

It is a spin-off from the 2015 film Baby with Taapsee Pannu reprising her role as Shabana.

Other cast includes Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher and Prithviraj Sukumaran play important supporting roles in the film.
