National Film Awards 2019: Ayushmann Khurrana shines as he grabs best actor title with Vicky Kaushal

Mumbai, Aug 9 (IBNS): After winning hearts and setting the Box Office on fire, actor Ayushmann Khurrana's last year released movie Badhaai Ho won the National Awards on Friday.

Ayushmann shared the Best Actor award with Vicky Kaushal.

The winners of the awards were announced on Friday.

Badhaai Ho earned the award under the category of 'Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment'.

'Andhadhun', the thriller which featured Ayushmann in the lead role, won the Best Hindi movie award. 

Uri: The Surgical Strike director Aditya Dhar grabbed the best director award.

Akshay Kumar shined once again as his Padman won the Best Film on Social Issues award.

Badhaai Ho featured Ayushmann, Nina Gupta and other major actors.

It released during Durga Puja celebrations last year.

Ayushmann Khurrana (Andhadhun) and Vicky Kaushal (Uri) won the best actors award.
