Expressing his heartfelt appreciation for the film, Paresh Rawal said, "I am simply overwhelmed and touched; for such a wonderful film, that you have given me. I can only say that I love you and I pray to God to grant you a very long life. My career as an actor would have been thoroughly incomplete if I wouldn’t have done this film.

"What a tender film you have made dada! Am thankful that such a subject was handled by someone like you because of the way you go about it, it’s so heart-touching. Dada, I love you very much…thank you for your film."

Shastry Virudh Shastry, which was released in theatres in November 2023, narrates a story of a young boy who gets caught into a legal battle between his parents and grandparents.

The film, which secured a spot on Netflix’s Top 10 list for an impressive 20 consecutive days, was produced by Windows Production and Viacom 18. It was the debut Hindi project of Windows Production, helmed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee.

Shiboprosad, on his part, said, "My friend, Debashis Saha, who lives in Delhi, had a long dream that we screen the film in Parliament. With this screening, his dream is coming true and that is a big thing for me. Shastry Virudh Shastry is our first Hindi film that garnered praises from everywhere.

"Once I had met Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi in Mumbai, who had said that a film is like a river that will flow without you knowing. It has happened with this film that found its own audience. I am glad that not only it made it to Netflix Top 10 and retained its position for 20 days, it is now going to be screened for the Rajya Sabha members."
