'PremRatanDhanPayo' collaborates with Twitter to wish fans #HappyDiwali
Mumbai, Nov 10 (IBNS): 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' kicked off Diwali celebrations on Twitter in style. The star cast of the film, Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor surprised their fans on Twitter by launching a Twitter Diwali emoji of a diya on Monday wishing their fans a #HappyDiwali.
This is the first time a Bollywood film has collaborated with Twitter on an innovation like this. Soon after Salman, Sonam and the official movie handle rolled out the emoji for all users. All users need to do is Tweet with this hashtag, #HappyDiwali and a Twitter emoji of a diya will appear next to it.
Speaking about this move, Shikha Kapur – Chief Marketing Officer, Fox Star India asserted that “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo releases this Diwali and there could not have been a better way to engage with fans than this Twitter Diwali emoji! Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the film and the return of their beloved character Prem. We wanted to share the warmth and goodness of Diwali with them and make the festival more memorable. We are always looking at clutter-breaking ideas to engage with the audience in an innovative way. We are happy that the fans have loved it so much.”
