Rajinikanth backs Modi's move to discontinue Rs 500 and Rs1000 currency notes
Chennai, Nov 9 (IBNS): Southern superstar Rajinikanth has appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government's move to discontinue Rs. 500 and Rs.1000 currency notes.
Rajinikanth said a 'new India' was born following the move taken by the government.
"Hats off @narendramodi ji. New india is born #JaiHind," the superstar tweeted.
In a bold step to curb the usage of fake Indian currency and combat the issue of black money, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes will cease to be legal from Tuesday midnight.
