Mumbai, Mar 21 (IBNS) Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji celebrated her 38th birthday on Monday.

She belongs to the famous Mukerji-Samarth family of Bollywood.

Making her debut with a Bengali film Biyer Phool in 1996, Rani had a sedated start to her career. The ensuing year she made her Bollywood debut with Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, where she played a rape victim.

With films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Nayak and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham following later, she slowly gained impetus and is one of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood currently.

After a long standing romance with movie producer Aditya Chopra, she tied the knot with him in 2014 and became a proud parent to a baby girl the following year.

Rani is the recipient of seven Filmfare awards and four IIFA awards among other medals.
