Mumbai, Sept 23 (IBNS): The energetic, committed Ranveer Singh has been pushing himself to the next level for his forthcoming film 'BajiraoMastani'.

A role that requires him to play a legendary Maratha warrior king, Ranveer has focused on bringing this character alive to the best of his abilities in unique ways.

A simple, effective method of learning the ins and outs of an intense, demanding role that he adopts is watching epic performances. An avowed fan of Robert De Niro & Daniel Day Lewis, Ranveer has been watching their best acts, analyzing them and reading up on the making of their best films.

Ranveer is also analyzing and reading up on war epics like Kurusawa’s ‘Rann’ and the Russell Crowe starrer ‘Gladiator’ to best understand the process of creating an unforgettable period war movie.

So when he isn’t focusing on shoulder recovery or his intense character of Bajirao, Ranveer is working on analysis such cinematic classics like a student.
