Mumbai, Jan 30 (IBNS): Actor Rishi Kapoor, who is undergoing medical treatment in the US, has assured his fans that he is recuperating slowly and steadily.

Kapoor, who has worked in several memorable Bollywood movies in his career, might return to India soon.

Kapoor told Bollywood Hungama: "My treatment is on, hopefully I will recover soon and God willing I will return. The procedure is long and tedious and one needs immense patience which unfortunately is not one of my virtue."

Speaking on his break from Bollywood movies, the actor said: “Thankfully, I am not thinking about films anymore, just want to be blank and refresh myself with a more relaxed mind. This break shall be therapeutic for me.”

In 2018, Kapoor was seen in three movies-Rajma Chawal,Mulk and 102 Not Out.

In the same year, Kapoor had announced in his post on Twitter that he was going to the US for medical treatment.

"Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years “plus”of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes,I will be back soon!," he had posted on his Twitter page in September. (embed tweet)

Amid media speculations that he might be suffering from cancer, Rishi's brother Randhir Kapoor rubbished such talk in an interview to Hindustan Times.

The Bollywood Hungama report also said that if all went well, then the actor is expected to return home in April.
