Shah Rukh Khan breaks his own record as 'Jawan' mints fastest Rs.250 crores at BO
Mumbai/IBNS: If you thought Shah Rukh Khan's biggest blockbuster was 'Pathaan', then move over it as 'Jawan' has just shattered a bunch of box office records after completing Day 4 in theatres.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, 'Jawan' is "beyond historic," with its current BO total of Rs. 252.08 crores.
The film has set a new benchmark for the highest single day besides being the highest extended weekend which is 4 days with Jawan releasing on the occasion of Janmashtami, last Thursday.
Sunday's total earnings for the film were Rs. 71.63 crore which took Jawan past the 250 crore mark. It is now the fastest Hindi film to have breached the 250 crore barrier, crossing the line on Day 4.
Seems like Shah Rukh Khan is his own competition with Jawan breaking the fastest Rs. 250 crore record set by SRK's previous release Pathaan this year. Sunny Deol's blockbuster Gadar 2 is in third place.

'Jawan', directed by Atlee, stars Shah Rukh Khan in a double role with Nayanthara as the female lead, Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist. Actor Deepika Padukone features is a memorable special appearance. Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Lehar Khan and Ridhi Dogra play key roles with Sanjay Dutt also in a cameo.
