Shiboprosad-Koushani’s chemistry returns as ‘Phool Phutechhe’ sets the mood for ‘Bohurupi: The Golden Daku’

Kolkata/IBNS: Phool Phutechhe, a new song from Nandita Roy-Shiboprosad Mukherjee's Bohurupi: The Golden Daku, was unveiled by the makers recently.

The song brought back the popular on-screen pairing of Shiboprosad-Koushani.

The film continues the story from its predecessor Bohurupi, revolving around a series of robberies, a search for hidden gold and an action-packed adventure set against the rural heartlands of Bengal.

The sequel promises to take the narrative further while retaining the elements that connected the first film with its audience.

Actor-director Shiboprosad Mukherjee said, "The first film of Bohurupi was loved immensely by the audience and the second film is now ready to roll. I can't thank my director (Nandita Roy) enough), who believed that I could do Bikram Pramanik in Bohurupi."

Director Nandita Roy said, "After the first Bohurupi film, wherever we went the audience would ask about its sequel. The first one was tough to write as it is, but to come up with a sequel was even tougher."

Phool Phutechhe brings a distinct folk flavour to the film, complementing its rural Bengal setting.

Sung by Noni Chora Das Baul and Arpita Chakraborty, the song adds a musical layer to the story while bringing the chemistry between Bikram Pramanik and Jhimli.

Actress Koushani Mukherjee said, "We were on a strict regime while shooting the song... Our entire team has put up a lot of effort in this film and when I get this positive response from you, I feel even happier."

The film features Shiboprosad Mukherjee as Bikram Pramanik and Koushani Mukherjee as Jhimli, with the duo returning to their popular pairing.

The song launch concluded with a live performance by the actors, adding to the romantic mood surrounding the new track.

Jisshu U Sengupta will also be seen in the film as Ayan Banerjee, a supercop, while actress Sohini Sarkar essays a key role.

Bohurupi: The Golden Daku is set to hit the big screens on October 15.
