Vir Das praises digital platform, feels it will give Indian contents 'good places'

Mumbai, July 8 (IBNS): Actor Vir Das on Sunday said the uncensored digital media will provide Indian contents a good platform.

He appreciated filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's latest web series "Sacred Games".

"What a great product! So happy for everyone involved with #SacredGames Happiest for the writers. This new wave of uncensored digital freedom will drive Indian content into some very very good places," Vir tweeted.

The actor also praised Varun Grover for the script.

He tweeted: "Big salute @varungrover and your writing team. So so so well done."

"Yo @NetflixIndia @swatishetty keep making awesome! ," he said.

Sacred Games is an Indian web television series by Netflix based on Vikram Chandra's 2006 thriller novel Sacred Games.

The series was produced in partnership with Phantom Films.

All eight, hour-long episodes are directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, who are co-founders of Phantom Films.

The movie features actors Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles.
