Was excited to work with Salman Khan: Disha Patani
Playing a trapeze artist in Bharat, actress Disha Patani worked with superstar Salman Khan for the first time in her film career. With the film releasing on Eid, Patani shares her experience working with onscreen Bharat. IBNS-TWF brings excerpts
When people look at you they consider Disha Patani as a girl next door. Are you a simple girl in real life?
Generally in my real life, I am a very simple person. I am shy as well as an introvert.
You are a trapeze artist in Bharat. It is a tough job to do. Did you feel like giving it up at any point?
Yes I felt this a number of times. I felt like unprepared for the role even days after agreeing to the film. I was training with my coach, Nadeem sir, for a long time. My knee got broken just a week before the shooting. It was very stressful because I was supposed to shoot for the whole trapeze sequence and then for the Slow Motion Song where I had to dance. So I was in bed-rest.
Was it intimidating to work with Salman Khan for the first time?
Actually no. More than fear, I had an excitement to work with him. How can I work if I get scared? I can't be scared.
We have seen you in Dhoni's biopic as well as Baaghi 2. What kind of genre actually you want to try out?
I love action and superhero films. My dream is to be a super-hero. This is a genre I love to watch and enjoy a lot. I want to be the female Hulk. I want to be super strong.
Did your co-stars- Tiger Shroff, Jackie Chan and Salman Khan (with whom you have already worked)- inspired you in fitness?
For sure, I have been inspired by all three of them. I was a huge fan of Jackie Chan and got inspired by him. Of course both Tiger and Salman sir are amazing. Finally I got some coaches to train me now. It is fun.
