Wonderla Amusement Park opens in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Apr 7 (IBNS) Wonderla Holidays Limited, which runs two popular amusement parks in Bengaluru and Kochi, announced on Thursday that it has opened its Hyderabad amusement park for public preview at a concessional ticket price of Rs 650 until April 19.
The Wonderla Amusement Park of Hyderabad is expected to be formally inaugurated on April 20 by Telangana's Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj, K T Rama Rao.
 
The high-tech amusement park, set up with an investment of over Rs 250 crore and covering 50 acres, will offer 25 land-based and 18 water-based rides.
 
The amusement park is about 10 minutes away from Hyderabad airport, located on ORR Exit No. 13.
 
According to the company, the reverse looping roller coaster at the Hyderabad-based amusement park is the first of its kind in India. Imported from the Netherlands, it has a maximum height of 40 metres and six inversions per ride.
 
The company has also said that it is the first park in India that has the capacity to generate over 1 MW of solar power.
