| @indiablooms | Oct 21, 2023, at 03:42 am

Actress Alivia Sarkar plays a role in Ritabhari Chakraborty starrer, Falak Mir's web series Nandini, which is now streaming on Addatimes. In an interview with IBNS correspondent Souvik Ghosh, Alivia speaks on her role and more...

Q. Tell us about your role in Nandini.

A. My character is not linked directly to the story. I play the wife of Suhotra Mukhipadhyay who is Prodip in the series. She is independent, who handles everything including her career and family by herself along with her husband's well being.

Q. What was the brief from the director?

A. Falak-da had said Pakhi (Alivia's role in Nandini) will show the struggle and obstacles of a woman, who takes care of her husband too and deals with the society with her savage and confident attitude.

Pakhi loves and supports Prodip. Whenever Prodip feels low, she comes as the fresh air in his life. But in between, there will be issues in their relationship for insecurities and misunderstanding.

Q. What do you search for in a role before choosing since Montu Pilot success?

A. Honestly I haven’t got any character which will help me to break the 'Shoroma' (Alivia's role in Montu Pilot) image because the character was so strong and powerful. I am still manifesting something to create which will prove I can do better than that. I don’t feel nice if my characters don't work. I feel stuck. Till then I will keep working and proving myself that I can be the finest performer if I get enough opportunities and support.

Q. How are you balancing TV and web?

A. I have been working really hard for the last few months and managing TV, web, my health, and my family very calmly. By God's grace, everything is panning out smoothly and in peace. I am enjoying my busy days. I am a workaholic.
