India register thumping victory against South Africa in second ODI

Centurion, Feb 4 (IBNS): Riding on all-round performance by bowlers and batsmen, Indian team defeated South Africa by nine wickets in the second ODI match of the series here on Sunday.

After bowling out South Africa for 118 runs in 32.2 overs, Indian batsmen cruised to 119 runs by losing only one wicket in 20.3 overs.

After losing the wicket of opener Shikhar Dhawan (15), skipper Virat Kohli (46*) and Rohit Sharma (51*) continued their glorious winning run in South Africa, in the ODI series.

The duo added runs all across the park to give no time to the opposition bowlers to settle down.

South African bowlers could not find an avenue to return to the game.

Sharma smashed nine boundaries in his knock while the skipper hammered four boundaries and a six in his innings that ensured victory for the home side.

Rabada was the only successful bowler for South Africa as he picked up the wicket of Dhawan.
Earlier, South Africa were bowled out for 118 runs.

Indian bowlers bowled out South Africa in just 32.2 overs.

Spinners destroyed the South African batting with

Yuzvendra Chahal picking up five wickets in the innings while Kuldeep Yadav joining him in the party to take three.

JP Duminy and Khaya Zondo remained the top scorers for South Africa as both the batsmen added 25 runs each.

The rest surrendered infront of Indian spinners.
