Failed ZEEL-Sony merger drains Rs 3,130 crore from MFs, insurers

Mumbai: The failed $10-billion merger between Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd and Sony Pictures Networks India resulted in a substantial wealth loss of approximately Rs 3,130 crore for mutual funds and insurance companies on Tuesday, according to a media report.

Mumbai: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd on Wednesday took legal actions by filing petitions with the National Company Law Tribunal in Mumbai and initiating proceedings at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre after Sony's termination of a $10-billion merger deal, media reports said.
