Chandigarh/IBNS: Sikh community's highest temporal body, Akal Takht, has punished former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal with cleaning duty in the kitchens and bathrooms of several Gurdwaras, including Amritsar's Golden Temple, for favouring Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim in the 2015 sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib.

Amritsar/IBNS: The highest temporal body of the Sikhs, Akal Takht, has issued a circular asking gurdwaras across Punjab to ensure that the colour of the Nishan Sahib — the triangular flag made of cotton or silk cloth with a tassel, hoisted on a long pole in gurudwara complexes across the world — is either basanti (xanthic) or surmai (blue).
