New Delhi/IBNS: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on IT has summoned senior officials of key ministries to gather "evidence" on matters related to citizens' rights in the digital space, media reports said.

New Delhi/IBNS:  While the government is committed to protecting the right to privacy of citizens, it comes with "reasonable restrictions" and no fundamental right is "absolute", the Centre said Wednesday responding to WhatsApp's lawsuit against the new digital guidelines on grounds that they violate user privacy.

New Delhi/IBNS: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has asked WhatsApp to remove its updated privacy policy, in a fresh notice, asserting that it undermines the values of informational privacy and data security, according to media reports.
