New Delhi/IBNS: Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana on Friday interrogated the main accused in the Jahanigirpuri violence, Ansar, and asked the officers to prepare a detailed probe report, media reports said.

New Delhi: A Congress delegation comprising the party's Delhi chief Anil Chaudhary, in-charge Shaktisinh Gohil, and senior leader Ajay Maken among others Thursday visited Jahangirpuri and took stock of the situation, a day after a demolition drive was carried out by North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) in the area which witnessed violence last week during a Hanuman Jayanti procession.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday expressed displeasure over the demolition in Jahangirpuri carried out by Delhi's municipal authorities despite its stay order and added that the "status quo"  be maintained for two weeks.
