Jammu and Kashmir High Court refuses to ban use of pellet guns, says it is ground reality

Srinagar, Sept 22 (IBNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir Government has refused to put ban on the use of pellet guns in the valley, saying use of force is inevitable as long as street violence continues, reports said.

New Delhi, Aug 29 (IBNS): A seven-member Expert Committee under the chairmanship of T V S N Prasad, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs for exploring the other possible alternatives to Pellet Guns as Non-lethal Weapons submitted its report to the Union Home SecretaryRajiv Mehrishi here on Monday.
