Padmavat : Contempt petition against Karni Sena to be heard in SC

New Delhi, Jan 25 (IBNS) : The Supreme Court on Thursday agreed to hear a petition seeking  contempt proceedings against Shri Rajput Karni Sena for resorting to violence against release of controversial film 'Padmaavat' even though the apex court gave it a go ahead, reports said.

Ahmedabad, Jan 24 (IBNS) : Barely 36 hours before the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's controversial movie Padmavat, protesters ran amok on Tuesday evening, triggering violence in Gujarat  even though a high alert was sounded and security tightened in three states of north and western India, media reports said.
