Meghalaya: Ruling NPP wins Williamnagar by-poll

Guwahati, May 1 (IBNS): Meghalaya’s ruling National People's Party (NPP) candidate Marcuise N Marak won the Williamnagar assembly seat by defeating his nearest rival Independent candidate Sengbath R Marak by a margin of 4920 votes in the by election for the assembly constituency held on Apr 27.

Guwahati, Apr 27 (IBNS): Over 75 percent voters turn out has been recorded in the by-poll for the Williamnagar assembly seat in Meghalaya’s East Garo Hills district, officials said on Friday.
