Syria: Citing lack of action, UN envoy cuts short humanitarian taskforce meeting

New York, Aug 19 (Just Earth News): The United Nations envoy for Syria abruptly suspended the regular international humanitarian taskforce meeting in Geneva on Thursday shortly after it started, saying it made “no sense” to continue unless there is a pause in the fighting so aid convoys could reach besieged areas of the war-ravaged country.
