Afghanistan: Taliban shuts down women-run radio station

Kabul: The Taliban administrators of Afghanistan have shut down women-run  Radio Sadai-e- Banowan in northeastern Badakhshan province over an alleged violation of the ruling regime’s broadcasting policy,  media reports said.

Kabul: Media watchdog organizations said as many as 86 radio stations in Afghanistan have shut down in the past six months ever since the Taliban came to power in the country in 2021.
