Canada: UN independent experts call for ‘full-fledged investigations’ into mass grave at indigenous school

New York: Independent UN human rights experts on Friday urged Canadian authorities and the Holy See of the Catholic Church to conduct prompt “full-fledged investigations” into a mass grave found in British Columbia containing the remains of over 200 children at a residential school for indigenous students, who had been forcibly taken from their homes.

A mass grave has been discovered with the remains of 215 children in Kamloops Indian Residential School in British Columbia's Canada with  Prime Minister Justin Trudeau calling the discovery as something that "breaks his heart".
